A Breakdown of COVID-19 Cases & Deaths in Alabama by Race and Ethnicity

Alabama has reported race data for 57% of cases and 72% of deaths, and ethnicity for 36% of cases and 61% of deaths. Alabama does not report either race or ethnicity data for tests or hospitalizations.

The calculations from The COVID Tracking Project assume Hispanic or Latino ethnicity may include any race. One or more standard race categories are not reported or otherwise specified by the state. These categories may or may not be included in the "Other race" category in the data. As of February 7, 2021, Alabama has reported 472,423 confirmed cases and 8,515 deaths in the state.
